Dorothea Lange's purpose for taking pictures was to capture what life was like for the impoverished. Similar to that, I wanted to capture what life was like for my hardworking mom. There were ups and downs but she stayed true and helpful to her kids, as the woman did in Dorothea's photo, "Migrant Mother".
